The Toshiba Tall Ships Festival started in 1984 and is the Ocean Institute's premier annual event, drawing thousands to Dana Point's beautiful harbor. This festival celebrates the return of the brig Pilgrim from her annual summer sail as an ambassador of good will for the City of Dana Point and the Ocean Institute. Come sail with us and have an experience of a lifetime! Many of our ships have spaces available to sail on our Friday evening, parade of sail and our cannon battles for Saturday and Sunday. Spaces do fill up early, so best is to sign up online. And something to think about - If you sail on board one of the ships on Friday evening, you will get to experience seeing the Brig Pilgrim sail (the only Brig in the 'fleet')! She does not sail on Saturday and Sunday. And please note that the Brig Pilgrim does not carry paid passengers. She is sailed with a volunteer crew only.
